Venice, Burano and Murano
Venice is a city in northeastern Italy, which is famous for its canals. It's built on the water and has no roads – instead, people get around by boat or foot. The main road runs through the centre of town along Grand Canal – but it doesn't have any cars! You'll find hundreds of bridges over this road: some are old wooden ones, while others are newer metal structures.

The Scaligeri, Verona's ruling family, built the water-surrounded castle in the 12th century as part of their defensive network against Milan and later kept it up by the Venetian empire. Visit its restored interior and climb the tower for panoramic views of Lake Garda and the city.
The Romans used to come to bathe in the sulphur springs here. Now, there is a luxury spa based on these springs. On weekends, there are a lot of people in this town, filling up the expensive stores and cafés.

Palmanova
